Tucson’s Skyline Country Club
We had the privilege of dining at the historic Skyline Country Club in Tucson’s Catalina Foothills. The cuisine was prepared by award-winning chef, Chef Issa Moussa and his staff, and was absolutely delicious. The city views were spectacular, and the atmosphere was relaxing.

Tucsonans enjoying sushi on a comfortable winter night
People were out at La Encantada Shopping Center in Tucson’s Catalina Foothills tonight enjoying food and drinks. University of Arizona Head Football Coach Mike Stoops was one of them. There are several places to eat and drink, including RA Sushi, North, Armitage Wine Lounge & Café, Blanco Tacos and Tequila, Firebird’s Wood Fired Grill, Red Velvet Cupcakery, Frost, and AJ’s Fine Foods (where they have a nice fireplace outside).
Acacia restaurant opens it’s doors in the Catalina Foothills
Their last day open at their St. Philips location was Thursday, January 13th. They opened the new Acacia just yesterday on Friday, January 14th. They are now located at Gallery Row, 3001 E. Skyline Drive. Find them on the Northeast corner of Skyline and Campbell.
New digs, new menu, same quality food and drink. We had the mahi-mahi tacos with a roasted jalapeno pepper, and calamari tonight. Both were excellent. They have the best view in Tucson, overlooking the city lights from nearly 3000 feet above sea level in the Catalina Foothills.

You will find delicious Mexican cuisine at Cafe Poca Cosa on Pennington Street in downtown Tucson. Upscale, yet casual atmosphere. Friendly, attentive, and informed staff. We recommend the Chef’s sample plate if you visit for lunch.

Guadalajara Grill – A Tucson Mexican Restaurant Favorite

Guadalajara Grill in Tucson, Arizona
“Originally from Guadalajara, Mexico, Emma Yolanda Vera, was inspired, along with husband, Seth, to open and operate the original Guadalajara Grill in Tucson, Arizona. Since 2002, The Guadalajara Grill has been offering a wide variety of Mexican favorite dishes and innovative fresh dishes that keep our customers coming back.”
We had friends recommend the Guadalajara Grill as a place for great food, service and entertainment. Our only regret is that we did not visit sooner. The food and service is excellent. What is really great is that the staff comes to your table and prepares fresh table-side salsa. You get to decide on the ingredients – garlic, tomatoes, onions, cilantro, jalapeno peppers, and more. You get to taste test to see if you want it more hot or less hot. We get the works and have it caliente (hot). Great place!
